Woodah Boutique Hostel, Copenhagen – 4th to 8th October 2022.
Highly recommended for any visitors to Copenhagen who want a design experience without breaking the bank. These single Japanese style designer sleeping pods were really quite comfy, private, and included breakfast all for the bargain price of £46 through Airbnb (Oct 2022).
This was the first mixed hostel I had stayed in on my trip. Although I was initially apprehensive, l found everyone I shared the room with to be respect, considerate, welcoming and friendly.
Each day I would make a sandwich from the rye bread roll, a cheese slice and a soft boiled – wrap it within three paper napkins and take it with me for lunch. With the cost of food and most other things in Copenhagen are quite expensive in comparison with the UK, so spreading my breakfast (which was included in the price of the £46 nightly rate) across the day made financial sense as well as having a tasty lunch available on my daily travels.
In addition to the bar and sleeping pods, the hostel had two other areas for socialising, relaxing or in my case doing yoga first thing in the morning.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would happily stay there again, especially with it being within easy walking distance from Copenhagen Central Station. It ticked all my boxes for design, comfort, quality, location, and a tasty breakfast included. It gets a 5 out of 5 from me!
