You might be wondering why I called my website Exquisite Thresholds.
It appealed to me because it works on many levels and is open to interpretation.
Definitions: Exquisite – extremely beautiful and delicate; intensely felt. Threshold – doorway – a crossing over point from one place to another – a new start in life.
Exquisite Thresholds works perfectly for me because I am currently undergoing a sustained period of significant transformation.
In May this year, I handed in my notice at work. On 30th September 2022 I will be leaving the job and the city I have loved for the last 18 years and setting off on the trip of a lifetime.
I have set up this website / blog as a way to record and document my journey as it unfolds – both as a process of self discovery (I often find aspects are revealed as I write, draw and discuss), but also as a way to share my trip with my friends and family back in the UK.
It’s utterly thrilling and terrifying in equal measure, to stand on this threshold, about to embark on this journey; not knowing what is going to happen, who I will meet or where I will end up.
But I am eager to find out!
